Erica Eyres and Sigga Björg Sigurðardóttir - Sniffer

“Sniffer was born in June, which means that he is a typical Gemini. His parents abandoned him at an early age, so he spent his youth wandering the streets, aimlessly searching for food and love. All his life, Sniffer has suffered from a severe split personality (which is common amongst the Gemini), and has brought much pain and suffering to his quest for belonging... Who is Sniffer? Where did he come from? And what has he done to this house?”.

Erica Eyres and Sigga Björg Sigurðardóttir present an installation that includes collaborative and individual works in painting, sculpture and video. These works will form a narrative around a character “Sniffer” - an absurd, grotesque version of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist.

As part of the exhibition, the artists have also created a publication that brings together drawings and texts to offer insights into the tragic life of Sniffer.

“Who is Sniffer? Where did he come from? And what has he done to this house?”
